If you’re searching for the best snowmobiling in Vail, Colorado, look no further than the Performance Snowmobile Tour at Sage Outdoor Adventures. This tour is designed for experienced riders looking to push their limits; this high-adrenaline tour is ideal for solo adventurers who crave speed, elevation, and access to Colorado’s most thrilling terrain.
Unlike traditional scenic rides, this tour is strictly for single riders aged 16 and up—no passengers allowed. It’s all about high-performance machines, challenging terrain, and the freedom to ride fast.
Your journey begins at our private Sage Outdoor Adventures Excursion Resort, an exclusive snowmobiling destination over 6,000 acres—more significant than Vail Ski Area. Here, you’ll explore over 100 miles of groomed trails, powder fields, and freestyle zones, all carefully designed for advanced snowmobilers.
From steep climbs to wide-open meadows, the Performance Snowmobile Tour lets you experience the Vail Valley’s most dynamic and technical terrain. If you’re looking to snowmobile Vail in a way that few genuinely do, this is your ride.
On this tour, you’ll gain 2,400 vertical feet as you power up to high alpine ridges, reaching nearly 11,000 feet above sea level. Along the way, take in jaw-dropping views of:
- Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort
- The Continental Divide
- Seven distinct mountain ranges
This combination of thrilling terrain and panoramic scenery makes Sage’s tour one of the best snowmobile experiences in Vail, Colorado.
We take pride in offering a more personalized and exclusive experience at Sage Outdoor Adventures. With a 5:1 guest-to-guide ratio, our professional guides tailor each ride to your skill level and pace. Whether tackling tight turns or opening up the throttle on open trails, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
We maintain a 100% drug- and alcohol-free environment, ensuring every rider enjoys a safe, focused, and unforgettable adventure. Our guides are trained to balance excitement with caution, especially on challenging terrain.

What’s the Difference Between Transportation Included Vs. Self Drive?
-
We highly encourage guests who have their own transportation to drive directly to our snowmobile facility for their scheduled trip. This not only allows you to enjoy the scenic route to our resort but also gives you the flexibility to arrive at your own pace.
However, we understand that not everyone may have access to personal transportation. For those staying in Vail, Beaver Creek, or Avon and require a pickup, we offer a limited shuttle service from your accommodation. We strive to make your adventure with us as seamless as possible, starting right from your doorstep.
-
Our shuttle service is subject to availability and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure a smooth and timely departure for your tour, we recommend scheduling your pickup when booking your snowmobiling experience. At Sage Outdoor Adventures Excursion Resort, we’re committed to making your snowmobiling adventure as convenient and enjoyable as possible, right from the start.
-
- We pick up from most hotels in Vail, Beaver Creek & Avon
