Rafting The Numbers on the Arkansas River
This activity meets at our Buena Vista Outpost. We will transport you from there to the Arkansas river, where the fun begins! Experienced boaters’ favorite run! Famous Class lV rapids, very continuous whitewater with spectacular views of Colorado’s highest 14,000 ft. peaks, if you have time to look up! Crystal clear water with fast currents makes you feel as if you are flying over the river bottom. You want this trip to go on forever! 7 miles on the water.
- Steep, technical, extreme – and insanely fun! Advanced paddlers, come meet your match.
Please note: Standard minimum age for this tour is 15 years old.
Location: Sage Buena Vista Outpost, 30230 Co Rd 383, Buena Vista CO, 81211. Please arrive 10 minutes early
Drive Time: 1 Hour 20 or 30 minutes from Vail/ Beaver Creek/ Avon. The drive to this location is one of Vail’s most scenic mountain drives.
Private Rafts are available…
A minimum of 4 people per raft are required, some parties may not be eligible. The cost is an additional $400.00. Please call our sales office to add a private guide to your reservation after check out. 970-476-3700. Daily 8am-5pm.

We require full payment when you make your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation and we are notified at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled meet time, we will refund your payment, less 10%, resulting in a 90% refund. Cancelling a reservation the same day it was booked is still subject to fees. Rescheduling a reservation must be done outside of 48 hours and is subject to availability and a rebooking fee. If you cancel for any reason and we are notified less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled meet time, we cannot refund any portion of the payment. All sales inside 48 hours are final and non-refundable / non-transferable. Sage Outdoor Adventures cannot be held responsible for and will not issue refunds for personal inconveniences, health related issues, family emergencies, injuries, winter road conditions, flight delays / cancellations, public transportation delays, traffic jams/accidents, or inclement weather. When you make your reservation, we are reserving a space for you and now turning away other potential guests.
