COLORADO HORSEBACK RIDING TOURS: WE STRAY FROM THE PATH, LITERALLY

Sage Outdoor adventures has partnered with Bearcat Stables to provide you the best horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains. Bearcat Stables has been a cornerstone of horseback riding and family fun in the Vail Valley since 1998. Known as one of the premier stables in Edwards, Colorado, they have been featured in magazines like Vail/Beaver Creek, Food & Wine, Trail Rider, and American Way by American Airlines. Their commitment to excellence ensures 100% satisfaction in every aspect of their services.

Situated on the historic Bearden Homestead, established in the early 1900s, their stable offers a chance to reconnect with American history while exploring the stunning Cordillera Valley on horseback. Whether you’re interested in a one-hour ride or an extensive four-day trip to Aspen, they have experiences to suit all preferences.

The ranch is nestled along Squaw Creek in Cordillera, a vital resource for the Bearden family as they raised cattle and cultivated crops throughout the 20th century. Ellis “Bearcat” Bearden, the property’s last owner, sold the ranch to Cordillera in the early 1990s. It has since been meticulously restored and transformed into a world-class horseback riding stable, operated by Indian Summer Outfitters. Visitors can tour two original cabins and view photos and videos showcasing the history of these American pioneers.
