Why should I ride with Sage?TX
Although there are many reasons you will enjoy this ride, one of the main factors to consider is the terrain and trail system you will be on. We operate on private and public lands. What that means is we offer double the rideable terrain as any other competitors in the area. Also, on private land, trails can be manipulated to be extremely entertaining, these are not your run of the mill forest road, these are true side X side purpose built trails that are just a blast to ride on.
Will I get dirty?TX
Yes. These machines are open air, and that’s why we love them. Wear clothing that you plan to wash. We will give you a helmet, Goggles, and bandanna for your face, but you will still get very dusty and/or muddy.
Can we put 5 people in the machine?TX
No, maximum 4 people per machine.
Is there a weight limit?TX
Yes, maximum cargo per Maverick is 800 LBS
Will I be driving?TX
Yes, your guide is out in front of you and the other machines on the tour, but you drive your own Maverick Max.
Can my kids drive?TX
Yes, but they must be at least 16 years old with valid Identification to drive.
What happens if it rains?TX
Adventure exponentially grows! Only in the most severe lightning and rain storms will we delay or cancel a trip. Riding in the rain is a unique Colorado experience and we are game! So if its rainy weather, bring some rain gear with you, cause we embrace and love the challenge and excitement of wet conditions. We do stay on our 6000 acres of private land in rainy conditions as the public systems we have permits on are too slippery to travel on.
Do people wreck?TX
Not often. Mavericks are great machines and are very stable. Your guide will brief you on proper use of the machine before embarking on the tour. If you adhere to the guidelines you will have no issues.
Where do we meet for the tour?TX
At our Castle Peak base lodge, west of Vail and Beaver creek about 25 minutes. Detailed driving directions to the base on this website.
